Zocalo in Midtown has partnered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Drink Pink! Throughout the month of October, Zocalo (and all Richard Sandoval Restaurants) will offer a special Pink Ribbon Agua Fresca for $3 and donate $1 for each drink sold to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

This beverage is one of chef Richard Sandoval’s favorites since it was served at his grandmother’s dining room table. It’s a drink that not only honors one of the most important women in his life, but it also pays homage to his Mexican roots. Made with fresh watermelon and sweetened with honey, this non-alcoholic drink is refreshing and filled with antioxidants.

This month, get pampered for spreading breast cancer awareness at Spa Sydell. In celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), Atlanta’s premiere day spa will be offering $10 off of any pedicure to breast cancer walk participants during the month of October.

With several breast cancer walks taking place around Atlanta this month, Spa Sydell wants to reward walkers for their participation. Walkers can swing by any of the spa’s six locations, show their registration, put their feet up and relax. Offer is valid October 1 – 31.

For the entire month of October, Roots Juices has joined forces with the Pink Heals Foundation to raise money in support of young women who are recovering from cancer treatment. For every Watermelon Cooler sold in-store, $1 will be donated to the foundation.

Everything But Water is proud to continue their partnership with Living Beyond Breast Cancer this year in an effort to empower, educate and support women.  Their exclusive bronze bracelet for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is designed by Chicago-based artisan Winifred Grace. The beautiful, handmade piece spells WOMAN in braille, and is a message of strength inspired by Maya Angelou’s quote, “You make me proud to say my name W-O-M-A-N.” Everything But Water will donate twenty-five percent of the proceed from each sale to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.

For the entire month of October, Village Tavern will be partnering with One Hope Wine to raise money for breast cancer awareness. The restaurant will offer glasses and bottles of both red and white wine, and 50 percent of all proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research. In addition, for every eight cases of wine sold, One Hope will provide a free mammogram to a woman in need. One Hope has donated over $1,000,000 to their partner charities to date – stop by Village Tavern to support this wonderful organization!
