Doc Chey’s is ringing in the New Year with the ninth annual “15 Days of Chinese New Year” beginning Friday, January 31, and running through Friday, February 14. Sponsored by Monday Night Brewing’s “Fu Manbrew,” the celebration will feature food and beverage specials benefitting the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB), exciting giveaways and live entertainment at Doc Chey’s Noodle House’s three Atlanta area locations.

Guests will enjoy festive specials including the “Dragon Bowl,” “Rishi hot tea” and Monday Night Brewing’s “Fu Manbrew.” Doc Chey’s will donate a portion of the proceeds from each ordered to the ACFB. Diners are also encouraged to donate canned goods to the food drive that will be set up at each Doc Chey’s location to help further ACFB’s mission to find hunger by engaging, educating and empowering the community.

The festivities continue on Monday, February 10, with a special day-long New Year event. The first 250 people to dine at each location for lunch or dinner will receive exclusive giveaways while captivating Chinese Lion Dance performances will be held at the Virginia Highland restaurant at 5 p.m. and the Grant Park location at 7 p.m.

A celebration of the Chinese lunar calendar, the 2014 Chinese New Year is the Year of the Horse and signifies nobility, class and perseverance. “Gun Hay Fat Choy!” is the traditional Chinese New Year greeting wishing prosperity and blessings in the New Year.
