South City Kitchen Vinings is bringing the Bayou to you! Now through Fat Tuesday on Tuesday, March 4, South City Kitchen will celebrate Mardi Gras with its exclusive “Taste of New Orleans” menu. Small plate selections will showcase “Nawlins” delicacies including Louisiana gumbo with catfish, crawfish, Andouille, okra and brown roux broth, gulf crab and apple beignets with bacon mayo and oysterman’s stew with fennel, fingerling potatoes, bacon, basil butter and oyster crackers. Crispy buttermilk catfish served alongside Gulf blue crab maque choux and a celery salad and red fish napoleon with crawfish mousse, green rice and crawfish etouffee will be featured entrees. A New Orleans classic, the Ambrosia “Pain Perdu” with coconut bread pudding, pineapple-banana rum caramel and High Road vanilla ice cream will end the meal on a decadent note. Les bons temps rouler!
